Keith Rollins and Kathy Hall Mathiason

Colon cancer survivors Keith Rollins and Kathy Hall Mathiason (pictured) participated in the Push Up Foundation’s fourth annual Victory Lap 5K. The family-friendly race at Highline Park in the Heights raised funds to increase education and awareness about the importance of colorectal cancer screening. Four years ago, after his own battle with colon cancer,  Keith started the Push Up Foundation to encourage others to get colonoscopies, and Kathy got involved with the event this year. Both Keith and Kathy credit colonoscopies for diagnosing their cancers so they could get treatment and survive. They now share their stories with friends to help others understand the importance of early detection.
