The Bellaire High School Class of 1959 reunion weekend kicked off with a welcome reception on Friday evening and continued with a golf tournament on Saturday afternoon, followed by dinner and dancing at the Houston Racquet Club. Sunday morning, they ended with brunch on the club terrace. About 120 people attended the reunion festivities. Co-chairs were Betty Byrd and Lyn Cooke Wicke. Many of the classmates began their freshman year at Bellaire High School when it opened in the fall of 1955. This was the first class to attend all four years at the high school.
